"textContent": "The Pitt season 3 couldn’t come sooner (Picture: John Wells Productions/HBO Max UK & Ireland. All Rights Reserved)\n\nThe Pitt star Noah Wyle has let slip key details about season 3, in what could end up being the most dramatic batch of episodes so far.\n\nThis year, the acclaimed and award-winning drama was finally released in the UK on HBO Max after an agonising wait, months after its launch across the pond.\n\nSet in real time, the series follows an entire 15-hour shift in an emergency department for each season – so episode one is 7am, episode two is 8am, and so on.\n\nThe immersive nature of the story is part of the reason why it’s become such a phenomenon, in addition to the accuracy of the procedures portrayed in the Pittsburgh hospital, and the performances from actors including Taylor Dearden, Shabana Azeez and Gerran Howell.\n\nWhen I watched The Pitt for the first time, I was blown away. I don’t tune in for medical dramas very often (I’ve seen the odd episode of Grey’s Anatomy and House here and there), but the way everyone raved about the show had me intrigued. And I wasn’t disappointed.\n\nThe drama has depicted an array of minor and life-threatening medical incidents, from a woman accidentally glueing her eye shut to a horrifying mass shooting at a festival.\n\nTo view this video please enable JavaScript, and consider upgrading to a web browser that supports HTML5\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\tvideo\n\nUp Next\n\nPrevious Page\n\nNext Page\n\nPOLL\n\nPoll\n\n### Are you going to watch The Pitt season 3?\n\n * Yes I can't wait!Check\n\n * No, I'm not a fanCheck\n\n * I'm not sure as I haven't seen the show yetCheck\n\n * I haven't watched yet but I can't wait to catch upCheck\n\n\n\n\nNow, former ER star Noah, who’s an executive producer on the programme, has divulged when the third season is going to be set.\n\n‘We’re about to start production on season 3,’ he said at the Warner Bros Upfronts event, Deadline reported.\n\n‘It’s set in early November, just before the holidays, ushering in a whole new set of emergencies and confrontations and complications.’\n\nBeing set in early November could mean several things, which could in turn have major implications for the story.\n\nIf season three takes place on November 1, then it could follow the fallout of Halloween.\n\nVictoria Javadi (Shabana Azeez) and Trinity Santos (Isa Briones) have had a prickly relationship in the past (Picture: Warrick Page/Max/Shutterstock)\n\nSupriya Ganesh, who plays Dr Samira Mohan, won’t be returning for season three (Picture: Warrick Page/Max/Shutterstock)\n\nSo, first thing in the morning, when the team of doctors and nurses are filing into the hospital, taking over from the night crew, getting set up for the day, drinking their coffee, they could be forced to deal with gruesome clowns and injuries from wild October 31 parties.\n\nIf ever there was a time when a season of The Pitt should be set during the night shift (as many fans want it to be), Halloween would be one of the best shouts.\n\nIf not Halloween, The Pitt season three could be set during Veterans Day, which falls on November 11.\n\nThe series has explored military service in the past, including in season one, when veteran Dr Jack Abbott (Shawn Hatosy) was unable to save a former soldier who had been hit by a drunk driver.\n\nThis could be a way of getting Dr Abbott even more involved in the story, despite working the night-time shifts. He’s a character who fans have wanted to see more of from the very start, so I know there’d be no complaints if Shawn were granted more screen time.\n\n## What does Metro think of The Pitt?\n\n> The Pitt is the best show on TV – I couldn’t believe what I was watching\n\nAnother possibility is Thanksgiving, although this takes place in late November, so less likely given that Noah specified that the season would be set earlier in the month.\n\nHowever, that hasn’t stopped fans from discussing the possibilities.\n\n‘Can’t wait for the guy with a turkey stuck on his head,’ one viewer called IronyIntended2 wrote on Reddit.\n\nFilthysize, one of the fans backing a Halloween-themed episode wrote: ‘November 1 would be great, rolling in at 7 AM and there’s a bunch of costumed patients from the night before.’\n\n‘And you can tap into All Saints Day or All Souls Day as well. We’re in Pittsburgh, there has to be Catholics in that crew,’ inksmudgedhands replied.\n\nLordXenu45 added: ‘Someone else said it already but if they set it at 7 AM on Nov 1 we can still get a little bit of Halloween weirdness from the leftover night shift patients.’\n\nMy money is on the episode being November 1, starting with the Halloween patients from the night before, which could prove even more chaotic when elderly care home residents are brought in first thing in the morning, as part of the daily routine in the hospital.\n\nWhile I’m sure there’ll be plenty more heartbreak and devastation to come, The Pitt also knows how to bring levity at just the right time, and some Halloween humour could go a long way.\n\n**_The Pitt is available to watch on HBO Max, and also via Sky and NOW._**\n\n**Got a story?**\n\nIf you’ve got a celebrity story, video or pictures get in touch with the Metro.co.uk entertainment team by emailing us celebtips@metro.co.uk, calling 020 3615 2145 or by visiting our Submit Stuff page – we’d love to hear from you.\n\nComment now Comments \nAdd Metro as a Preferred Source on Google\nAdd as preferred source\n",
