"textContent": "Londoners are bracing themselves for another 24-hour strike across the London Underground.\n\nFrom midday, members of the Rail, Maritime and Transport union (RMT) will walk out following a dispute with TfL over working hours.\n\nIt’s the third day of action this week after lines were shut down at midday for 24 hours on Tuesday.\n\nToday, Piccadilly and Circle lines will be closed while the Metropolitan line is shut between Baker Street and Aldgate.\n\nThe Central line will not be running between White City and Liverpool Street.\n\nOther lines will have a reduced service.\n\nThis week, we’ve seen the return of the Strikelist – those who turn to hire bikes to commute across the city when there’s industrial action on the Tube.\n\nBusinesses say they’ve been hit hard, with one food outlet owner telling Metro they saw a huge drop in footfall.\n\nBut RMT official Jared Wood says members felt strongly about the issues at the heart of the dispute, adding there was ‘absolute unanimity’ to fight TfL’s proposals.\n\nPeople who are travelling around London today are advised to check tfl.gov.uk/strikes before venturing out.\n\nComment now Comments \nAdd Metro as a Preferred Source on Google\nAdd as preferred source\n",
