"textContent": "Hailey Bieber is setting the record straight (Picture: Getty Images)\n\nThe internet is a _wild_ place, full of celebrity theories and fake rumours.\n\nFrom the memorable ‘Avril Lavigne is a clone’ offering to Denise Welch addressing claims she disappeared in a hot air balloon crash, there’s never a shortage of bizarre takes.\n\nOne zillennial celeb constantly in the pop culture eye is Hailey Bieber. But alongside creating fashion trends and viral content, she’s also been the subject of many internet theories.\n\nThis includes one which accused her of using witchcraft to make her husband, Justin Bieber, fall in love with her, following a throwaway joke she made in a video for Vogue.\n\nNot to mention the ‘shade and feud’ narrative, where TikTokkers analysed her social media behaviour for hidden messages directed at Selena Gomez (fans will know that Justin and Selena had a famously on-again, off-again relationship that spanned eight years).\n\nHailey and Justin tied the knot in 2018 and welcomed their first child in 2024 (Picture: Getty Images)\n\nBut perhaps the most famous are the ‘calling the paparazzi’ claims, which accuse the Rhode skincare brand owner of exactly that: calling the paps to photograph her, so that she stays relevant in the public eye.\n\nNow, Hailey — who shares 19-month-old son, Jack Blues, with Justin — has finally addressed these rumours.\n\nSpeaking to Interview Magazine for a recent cover story, the model was quizzed about her relationship with the paparazzi.\n\nShe denied the rumours (Picture: Getty Images)\n\nAsked about whether she thinks there’s a ‘new weird vibe out there with paparazzi,’ and that they can be ‘really mean,’ she called the overall concept ‘dark.’\n\n‘The spirit behind it is very dark and I don’t think it’s something that anybody asks for in this world,’ she said. ‘So I find it really funny when I’ll see people online being like, “She calls the paparazzi on herself every day.” It’s so icky.’\n\nHailey continued, explaining that, ‘historically we’ve seen that paparazzi are awful.’\n\n‘I don’t think it’s gotten any better or any worse,’ she added.\n\nHailey said paparazzi have a ‘dark spirit’ (Picture: Getty Images)\n\nShe then got a little more reflective, stating that no one living in the public eye ‘gets away unscathed’ from paparazzi, the invasive environment, or the strange rumours.’\n\n‘People come up with something new every day,’ she added. ‘I’m just like, “I’m living my life and I’m going to keep it moving.”‘\n\nHailey recently made headlines at Coachella, the annual music and arts festival held in the California desert.\n\nFollowing her husband’s controversial set, in which he livestreamed old music videos on YouTube that fans branded ‘lazy’, Hailey was reported to have turned away 20 women from Justin’s Coachella after party.\n\nHailey and Kendall have been BFFs for years (Picture: Getty Images)\n\nThe ultra-exclusive bash, hosted by Justin’s new fashion brand Skylrk, was reportedly held off Coachella grounds and attended by stars like the Kardashian-Jenners and Jacob Elordi (PSA: Kendall and the Euphoria star were allegedly spotted making out at the party, but that’s another celeb rumour story for another day).\n\nHailey reportedly blocked access for some guests, with a source telling The Sun: ‘Many people were turned down who had previously been invited.’\n\nThey added: ‘Promoters also had a lot of girls on their guest lists and I heard Hailey was turning them away.’\n\nComment now Comments \nAdd Metro as a Preferred Source on Google\nAdd as preferred source\n",
