  "textContent": "A 12-year-old boy has been charged with wounding and sexual assault(Picture: Alamy Stock Photo)\n\nA 12-year-old boy has been charged with sexual assault after a woman in her 60s was found with serious injuries.\n\nThe woman was discovered at an address in Birmingham shortly before 6.15pm on Wednesday, March 18.\n\nShe remained in a serious condition in hospital, police said.\n\nPolice arrested a 12-year-old boy following the incident, and he has since been charged with wounding and sexual assault.\n\nThe boy, who cannot legally be named, was also separately charged with intentional strangulation in connection with a woman being confronted in a street last month, police added.\n\n##  Sign up for all of the latest stories\n\nStart your day informed with Metro's **News Updates** newsletter or get **Breaking News** alerts the moment it happens.\n\nOfficers said he was also charged with a separate theft incident on March 18.\n\nWest Midlands Police said: ‘We’ve charged a boy after a woman was found with serious injuries at an address in Birmingham.\n\n“She remains in a serious condition in hospital.
