He has been joined by the likes of Prince William and his good friend Jamie Laing, but as he reached the finish line, the victory was all his.\n\nSpeaking to Radio 1, Greg, 40, burst into tears and said: ‘I can’t believe it’s done! I couldn’t see, I just kept bursting into tears at everyone I saw. Please, let me get off this bike.\n\n‘It feels amazing to complete that, to have done that amazing, to have pushed through it all, to be part of an amazing team, to have raised so much money, and to have finished!’\n\nHe added: ‘It’s been such a struggle at times but everyone has got me through it. The thing I will remember the most is the joy of seeing everyone. There was so much joy on that whole journey.’\n\nHis latest Red Nose Day challenge was even more poignant this time around as his father ‘Big Al’ is currently ill in hospital after suffering a stroke.\n\nGreg James said he was ‘overwhelmed’ as he crossed the finish line in Edinburgh (Picture: BBC)\n\nGreg has cycled 1,000km across the UK raising money for Comic Relief (Picture: BBC)\n\n‘My dad is hopefully watching me swear on the news,’ Greg quipped.\n\n‘He loves rugby so much.
