"textContent": "The tragic crash happened on the A355 Amersham Road outside Beaconsfield (Picture: Google Maps)\n\nA 15-year-old girl who was riding a motorbike with another teenager has died after a crash on a Buckinghamshire road.\n\nThe emergency services were alerted yesterday at around 9.20pm to a collision on the A355.\n\nThey found that three vehicles – a white Toyota Yaris, a grey Toyota Hilux and a motorbike – had smashed into each other across all lanes.\n\nThe girl, who was a passenger on the motorbike, was pronounced dead at the scene.\n\nHer next of kin have been informed and are being supported by officers, Thames Valley Police confirmed.\n\nThe rider of the motorbike, a 16-year-old boy from Beaconsfield, was arrested on suspicion of causing death by dangerous driving.\n\nTwo other people, a 16-year-old boy and a 15-year-old girl, from High Wycombe, were riding another motorbike nearby at the time of the crash.\n\nThey have also been arrested on suspicion of causing death by dangerous driving.\n\nAll three remain in police custody.\n\nMetro understands that the crash happened on a stretch of Amersham Road just yards from the railway bridge at the junction with an unnamed residential road.\n\nThames Valley Police has referred itself to the Independent Office for Police Conduct (IOPC) in relation to the incident.\n\nThis is because a police vehicle was driving in the opposite direction nearby without blue lights when the vehicles crashed.\n\nThe referral is a standard requirement, the force said, adding that it is unable to comment further until IOPC has completed the assessment.\n\nLead investigating officer, DS Oliver Cahill-Smith, of the Serious Collision Investigation Unit, said: ‘Firstly, I would like to share my sincere condolences with the family of the girl who has sadly died as a result of this collision.\n\n‘I am appealing to anyone who witnessed the incident to please get in touch.\n\n‘I would also like to ask anyone who was driving in the area prior to the collision to review their dash-cam footage, as it may contain information that could assist our investigation.’\n\nJackson Ng, a Beaconsfield Town and Buckinghamshire Councillor, told **Metro** : ‘This is desperately sad news. A young life lost, and in an area where we have already seen tragedy recently.\n\n‘My thoughts are with the family and loved ones of the girl who has died, and with everyone affected. I hope the community can rally around them in the days ahead.\n\n‘I want to be careful at this stage – I have no information about the circumstances of this accident, and it would not be right for me to say anything that could interfere with the investigation or cause further pain to the family before the facts are known.’\n\nHe added that the ‘roads around Beaconsfield have claimed lives’ and that the crash is ‘not a one-off.’\n\nMr Ng called for ‘serious, sustained action from those responsible for our roads’ and for an urgent review of safety provisions on the routes by the council and National Highways.\n\n******Get in touch with our news team by emailing us atwebnews@metro.co.uk.******\n\n**For more stories like this,****check our news page**.\n\n Add Metro as a Preferred Source on Google Add as preferred source ",
