  "textContent": "A photograph showing Andrew Mountbatten-Windsor and Lord Peter Mandelson wearing bathrobes, alongside convicted paedophile Jeffrey Epstein (Picture: US Department of Justice)\n\nAn image of Andrew Mountbatten-Windsor, Peter Mandelson and paedophile financier Jeffrey Epstein has been unearthed for the first time.\n\nThe picture shows the former Prince along with Mandelson, ex-UK ambassador to the US, wearing bathrobes.\n\nEpstein is seen sitting with them at the table, and it is believed to be the first known photograph of the three together.\n\nNo time or date is given for the photograph, but ITV News understands it was taken in Martha’s Vineyard.\n\nThe image also appears similar to others in Epstein’s ‘birthday book’ which also showed Mandelson in a bathrobe with the financier.\n\n##  Sign up for all of the latest stories\n\nStart your day informed with Metro's **News Updates** newsletter or get **Breaking News **alerts the moment it happens.\n\nThat photo was taken between 1999 and 2000, before Epstein was imprisoned in 2008 from soliciting prostitution from a minor.\n\nA photo included in the released Epstein ‘birthday book’ shows Peter Mandelson and Jeffrey Epstein (Picture: US House Oversight Committee)\n\nMandelson (left) and paedophile financier Jeffrey Epstein (right) and a birthday cake (Picture: US Department of Justice/PA Wire)\n\nThe US Department of Justice has released three million documents as part of the Epstein files, including 180,000 images.\n\nDue to the sheer quantity, many images are still being unearthed.\n\nMeanwhile the UK government has released tens of thousands of documents regarding Mandelson’s links to Epstein.\n\nIn a section entitled ‘Relationship With Jeffrey Epstein’, the report said: ‘… Epstein appeared to ‘maintain a particularly close relationship with Prince Andrew, the Duke of York and Lord Peter Mandelson, a senior member of the British government’.\n\nIt was revealed that Mandelson was given a £75,000 severance payout as Sir Keir Starmer removed him from his position, but he asked for a much larger number.\n\nHe fought to have his entire work contract as US Ambassador – a sum which would have been well above £500,000 – before being fired.\n\nChief Secretary to the Prime Minister Darren Jones told MPs that the due diligence report on Lord Mandelson ‘did not expose the depth and extent’ of his relationship with Epstein.\n\nThe files also found that Sir Keir Starmer was warned that appointing Mandelson came with risks.\n\nOne note said: ‘If anything goes wrong, you could be more exposed as the individual is connected to you personally.’\n\nJonathan Powell, NSA, found the appointment process of Lord Mandelson ‘weirdly rushed’ and ‘unusual’.\n\n**Got a story?
