These prompts from NaPoWriMo...

Today, we challenge you to write your own poem that emulates these songs – something to snap, clap, and jump around to.

I can't double dutch So I think up games with my anxiety instead:

tell me- tell me- how lost i am, counting the breaths from a thoughtless slam.

how many can we turn around? tell me- tell me- til we've found

1, 2, 3 And I just keep counting until I trip!

In your poem today, try writing with a breezy, conversational tone, while including at least one thing that could only happen in a dream.

As a last resort, I start talking To the door. Very quietly; everyone else is asleep. We make fun of the cats Until I have the courage To ask for a relay Unworded But it is a door And it only replies, "Deep breaths, I'll open again eventually." Then it tips me away To the previous floor Because it has door business to resume.

...write a poem in which you talk about disliking something – particularly something utterly innocuous, like clover. Be over the top! Be a bit silly and overdramatic.

Not that they are Utterly innocuous but My irrational hatred for Blue Lights At Night Especially LED ones. I assure you I am justified in this, I am not the only one. Because How the fuck am I supposed to sleep, Too bright and another thing on my mind?
