DZOFILM introduces 49% lighter PL Octopus adapter, and S35-to-full frame 1.4x Marlin converter

Lens manufacturer DZOFILM has introduced a new version of its Octopus lens mount adapter, and a new Marlin 1.4x extender. The Octopus 2 adapter, which DZOFILM says is almost half the weight of the previous model, is designed to allow Sony E, Nikon Z, Leica L and Canon RF mirrorless camera users to fit PL-mount cinema lenses to their cameras to introduce a different look to their films. The Marlin extender increases the effective focal length of PL lenses by 1.4x, to make them appear longer. In doing so the Marlin magnifies the imaging circle of the lens, so that when used with S35/APS-C lenses they will cover the sensor of a full frame camera.
