Hi everyone
We need to migrate about 12 TB of data from a Windows Server 2016 file server to a new Windows Server 2022 machine. The colleague who used to handle these transfers with Robocopy has left the company, and honestly, none of us remaining are comfortable enough with the command line to trust ourselves with that much data.
So I'm looking for a reliable GUI tool that can do what Robocopy did , ideally something that can preserve NTFS permissions and timestamps, resume after interruptions, and verify the copied data.
From my research I've shortlisted a few options: TeraCopy, FastCopy, FreeFileSync, GS RichCopy 360, SyncBack, and GoodSync , but I've never actually used any of them in production.
Has anyone here used one of these (or something else) for a large server migration like this? Which would you trust with 12 TB, and is there anything I should watch out for?
