How can I export Claude chat history to PDF without losing formatting?

I use Claude for research and coding, and I often need to save conversations for later reference. When I copy and paste a Claude conversation into a document, formatting such as code blocks, tables, bullet lists, and headings is often lost. Using the browser print option to save as PDF also does not always preserve the layout cleanly. Is there a reliable way to export Claude chat history to PDF or Markdown while preserving the original formatting, especially for code blocks and tables? I am looking for a method that does not require a lot of manual cleanup afterward.
