GOG describes 'Shadow of the Tomb Raider' as a 'Good Old Game'... old? Really?

A highly subjective discussion topic, but I'm wondering what I would label as "old" and why. When I was a kid growing up with new Amiga games, the idea of playing a 10-year-old game would definitely have qualified as an "old" game to me, perhaps even playing Bubble Bobble (1987 IIRC?) in the decline-era of the Amiga (say 1993). The two criteria that I would consider using to label a game old - off the top of my head - are compatibility and how well it runs on today's hardware. A quick google suggests that the original version of The Witcher 3 is suboptimal on say a Ryzen 5600G, hence I wouldn't regard it as old, yet it's "before you were born" for some teens these days 🙂 Once upon a time, changing your gaming device meant you could only play new games, so therefore old could mean anything not native to your current platform, whereas these days on say the PC platform that argument is mitigated in quite a few ways (though sometimes a newer version of Windows will trip up an...
