"textContent": "I've gone from an Epson WF-3520 (circa 2014) to an Epson ET-2950. I wasn't keen on buying a tank-type printer because IMO they cost a lot and the manufacturers aren't exactly being generous with the features nor is there any extra warranty to make the cost more appealing. Anyhoo, the wife wanted a 'better printer' (e.g. photo printing) and this rated well in Which?'s reviews.\n\nOne improvement since the last printer is that one can now install Epson Scan ('2' in this case) on Linux natively and it worked straight away without any faff. The printing component took a bit more effort on Linux as the auto-installed entries didn't work properly but once I had specified not to use the default driver and also specified the connection to the printer in a way that seemed proper, that went fine.
