How many reminders will it take for me to just know that ssh access includes scp

I asked here about various ways that I could get my TV-connected-downstairs raspberry pi to be able to access my whole film collection. I was thinking about hardware solutions like the portable hard drive idea which was my first attempt. Lately I've been thinking about more software solutions, I've played with the media server / USB port on my router for example, I enabled file sharing services on Win11 as a quick test to see whether the pi could access it with reasonable ease. Then once again I remembered: Why don't I just access my PC upstairs via SSH/SCP? The stupid thing is that I've been scp'ing to the pi and transferring a few things my wife might want to watch onto the very limited internal storage. I just have to admit that Windows-like thinking forms such a large part of my computer knowledge that it's hard to think outside of that box sometimes.
