Edison Motors Receives Environmental Approval To Sell Hybrid Trucks

This is really good news! The government originally was not allowing them to sell their hybrid trucks and they had to pivot to building regular diesels. Some weird technicality about a generator engine not being rated for on road use. Legal to run the generator in a stationary application but not legal to run it to power a vehicle.

They have now been approved so they can continue down their original goal of hybrid trucks. I assume I can share this as it doesn't say confidential anywhere but I also don't see anything official on their site or Youtube channel yet. I presume they'll make a video soon going into more details. Really excited about this as I always felt series hybrid made the most sense especially for larger trucks and equipment.
