Analysis of America by Prof Eddie Glaude Jr. Is it economics or race?

Interview was around 7 years ago. I vividly remember the white conservative reaction to the Super Bowl Cheerios commercial. Black people didn't care. It was white conservative America whose heads exploded. In case you don't remember here is the 30 sec spot White replacement theory is currently being promoted at the highest levels of this White House. It's been driving those people since at least the Tea Party days. Making it about economics is just the cover story to avoid facing the ugly truth. Prof Glaude's analysis. Don't blame Trump blame America. I submit not only haven't things gotten better they are much worse. Is he right?
