Well, the FCC is apparently going forward with banning all foreign manufactured routers in the US. Under the proposal, you can keep using existing routers and can still buy models previously approved by the FCC, but from what I understand new firmware updates for those existing units will be banned effective 03/01/2027. Curiously, this only affects consumer routers --- business routers are totally exempt.
