I would have loved to be a fly on the wall of the french military higher-ups' meeting when they found out about this 😀 "Bleedin' young'uns and their new-fangled tech gizmos giving away confidential information!"

My wife was asking why apps like that haven't been banned for any personnel in location-sensitive positions, but I was thinking that in that situation it must be a hell of a PITA to keep track of popular apps as well as popular apps' new features that do dumb shit from a security perspective, but then I suppose that the responsibility of tracking that stuff must surely fall squarely on the shoulders of those who are inclined to use such apps to be sufficiently interested and savvy to understand the implications of such features and their relevance to the nature of their employment. Having said that, informative health and safety videos that tell people to say not leave a forklift running / apply handbrake...
