First Windows 11 app updated to require Onedrive to be installed
Well, Microslop's "free" Clipchamp video editing app has been updated by Microslop to now require Onedrive to be installed in order to use it. You now can't open projects to edit locally without first uploading them to Onedrive.
Windows 11's free video editor Clipchamp now requires OneDrive
Previously, users could save project files locally on their PCs. Going forward, you'll have to sync to OneDrive if you want to keep using it for free.
I guess it is only a matter of time now before they update Notepad (and everything else) to require it as well.
My question is what happens when Onedrive is full? Say you install Cryptomater, create an encrypted volume on Onedrive, and then upload 5TB of junk files for their AI assimilators to waste time and Microslop money to unsuccessfully chew on. Will Microslop then require users to purchase more space to continue to use their OS?
Honestly, I am so glad that Windows 10 is going to be my absolute last Microsoft OS.
