Can't login to Facebook because old cell number is used for confirming identity with SMS

For some reason 2 factor authorization SMS Facebook uses to confirm is sent to and old cell number and after a slew of supposed fixes I can't login for the necessary SMS code nor can i change the out of date old cell number! Any suggestions/fixes ? Thanks in advance pclaptop
