DR-DOS is coming back from the dead

The current IP and trademark owner is apparently re-writing the OS in pure assembly language. https://www.techspot.com/news/111667-dr-dos-coming-back-dead-rebuilt-scratch-pure.html Personally, I don't know that I see the point of it as I doubt it has much in the way of monetization prospects. Maybe it could be used in x86 embedded systems, where DOS is apparently still a thing?
