Is it me or is high fps gaming a bit overrated?

I have been gaming on strictly 60 Hz panels for years but just got a 360 Hz OLED (MSI MPG 271QRX QD-OLED) and while the colors and motion are spectacular on this panel I really feel like you get hard diminishing returns gaming above 90 fps. Like 90 fps looks a bit better than 60 but once I'm at 120-150 it just doesn't seem a lot different than 90 fps. I will say I don't play twitchy games and play on a controller but I'm thinking I might just put 90 fps framecaps in my games since what's the point of running my hardware balls to the wall for 120-150 fps if it doesn't add to the experience? Not talking about framegen, I'm talking genuine 120-150 fps not seeming too different from 90 fps. And yes I have my monitor set to 360 Hz in Windows lol so it's not a case of hey dummy you're still running it at 60 fps no wonder you can't appreciate 120 fps.
