Integrating my website with BlueSky and Mastodon

WordPress has made good steps with integrating self hosted WordPress websites into the Fediverse (ActivityPub) and AT protocol world. I now have @hvandenbergh.com as my BlueSky handle and @harry as my Mastodon handle. Using a domain name you own as your BlueSky handle is native for BlueSky. You need to include some records in the DNS of your domain to do so. The BlueSky website will guide you on this. In addition to that I use the ATmosphere plugin to automatically publish all of my blogposts on BlueSky. For Mastodon there is the ActivityPub plugin that basically turns your website into a Mastodon server. In order to use Mastodon on a Mastodon client or app, there is another plugin called Enable Mastodon Apps. And last but not least to even use Mastodon from your WordPress dashboard, there is a plugin called Friends that also can act as an RSS reader for sources you like to share. Overall I like it to make these social accounts part of my own domain, and consistently publish my blog posts on BlueSky and Mastodon, and see the responses with the WordPress environment.
