EA has released skate. update 0.31.2 today, focusing on stability fixes and a handful of crashes that players have been running into across the game. The update addresses several issues, including freezes when opening Skatepedia after leaving the Store, crashes tied to Grabster interactions, tattoos in customization menus and moving vehicles around San Van. It also fixes a bug that could place players into random parties while trying to join friends, restores proper spectate functionality and resolves visual problems that left parts of the UI looking washed out or displaying artifacts on screen. A few environment-related issues were cleaned up as well, including invisible cars that still had collision enabled and missing shadows on some yellow rails in Community Parks. EA also fixed a startup crash affecting PCs with fewer than four CPU cores. Instead of crashing, the game will now display a message explaining that the hardware does not meet the minimum requirements. While the crash tied to moving vehicles has been fixed, EA says traffic will remain disabled in San Van for at least 24 hours after the update goes live. The team plans to monitor stability before bringing moving cars back into the city. Check out the full patch notes at the official website. EA also revealed Go Skate Weekend, a four-day event running from June 19 through June 22 that builds on the annual Go Skateboarding Day celebration with new activities, rewards and larger group sessions across San Van. Players can take part in a scavenger hunt inspired by real-world skate spots, unlocking new Quick Drop objects by finding locations hidden throughout the city. Go Skate Hot Spots will also appear at the Promenade in Market Mile, the Overpass in Hedgemont, the Block Party in Gullcrest and the Canal South Bank with a different featured location each day and updated obstacles to skate. Party sizes and Challenge limits have been increased to eight players for the event and players can choose to see others while participating in Challenges. Daily Tasks will reward themed decks, grip tape, wheels and accessories, while a community challenge tasks players with completing 2.5 million Challenge goals. Everyone who contributes will earn a Vans shirt.
