"textContent": "RENNSPORT received a sizeable update today across Steam, PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S, bringing two well-known circuits to the game at no additional cost. Players can now race at WeatherTech Raceway Laguna Seca and Sebring International Raceway while the development team continues its work on improving the overall racing experience.\n\nA major focus of the update is the AI. According to the developers, ongoing work on older systems has allowed them to improve opponent behavior across the board. AI performance is now less dependent on frame rate, helping deliver more consistent racing regardless of hardware or display settings. Computer-controlled drivers are also faster and more aggressive throughout a lap, while updated pathing keeps them within track limits more reliably.\n\nThe update also fixes the phantom braking issue that occasionally caused AI cars to slow down without reason, a problem many players noticed at Daytona. Banking behavior has been adjusted as well, allowing opponents to take cleaner racing lines through sections like the Daytona Tri-Oval and reducing the wall contact and awkward movements seen in previous versions.\n\nIn addition to the gameplay changes, the developers announced a permanent price reduction for the Standard Edition. Beginning June 19, the base version of RENNSPORT will drop by 50 percent across all platforms. The team said previous discount plans were difficult to coordinate because of storefront scheduling and platform restrictions, leading to inconsistent pricing. By lowering the standard price permanently, the goal is to give players the same entry point regardless of where they choose to play while following through on an earlier promise to offer more content at a lower cost.",
