Best Settings to Use in NBA The Run

Operation Sports - Dedicated to Sports Gaming [Unofficial] June 10, 2026

NBA The Run offers an expansive list of controls and other settings that you will want to tinker with before hopping into your first tournament. While you can learn on the fly and potentially cost your team a free win, it’s better to enter Shootaround mode and see which settings you need fixed. Whether it’s adjusting the audio so the announcer doesn’t constantly blare in your ear or tweaking your video settings on PC to boost your frames per second, the settings menu should be your first stop in NBA The Run.

If you don’t want to mess with the settings yourself, you’re in luck: we have a complete list of the best settings to use in NBA The Run , regardless of your platform.

Best NBA The Run Settings

In total, there are only a few settings menus that you need to worry about in NBA The Run. Of course, with the game so short-lived at this point, more settings could come in the future that let you further customize your game, but we’re not quite there yet.

Can You Change Controls In NBA The Run?

If you’ve looked at the settings menus in NBA The Run , you might have noticed we’ve left out a major menu: Controls. While you absolutely want to familiarize yourself with all of the control schemes and button combinations in NBA The Run , you likely want to change some of the inputs, regardless of whether you’re on a keyboard or a controller.

Unfortunately, in the game’s current state, there is no way to change your keybinds or controls. You’re forced to use all the default combinations and buttons, which means we’re all shooting with Square/X, no matter how accustomed we are to the stick-shooting mechanics in NBA 2K.

It remains to be seen if the developers at Play By Play Studios will ever allow players to use custom controls, but for now, you have to learn all of the default options in NBA The Run.
