Street Fighter 6 Surpasses 7 Million Copies Sold
Since it first hit gaming platforms, Street Fighter 6 has been a resounding success, earning near-unanimous praise from reviewers and the broader gaming community across all platforms. The real test for series with multi-year production cycles like the fighting game world lies in their long-term success, and it’s safe to say that Street Fighter 6 will have made a lot of folks at Capcom very happy in the three years since.
Now, as the game passed its three-year anniversary last week, the publisher and developer have announced another milestone: seven million copies have now been sold.

Capcom announced the milestone on its official X account on Monday, having been a few hundred thousand short of ticking over the odometer earlier this year, when the numbers were last reported in March. That level of sales consistency three years into its release means the game will likely see continued, steady increases in its player base as more fighting game fans opt to give it a look.
There has been little in the way of discussion of the next game in the series, with Street Fighter fans used to getting many years of gameplay out of their purchases before the next game drops. It’s likely that there will be no follow-up in the near future, meaning the game will have several more years to rack up additional sales and raise the bar.
One way Capcom has sought to keep the game feeling fresh is by adding new characters, with plans for the next additions in the game’s fourth year of release already announced: Yasmine, Arjun, Tifa Lockheart, and Bosch.
Street Fighter 6 is available on pretty much every available gaming platform — PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X/S, PC, PlayStation 4, and Nintendo Switch 2.
