Codemasters and PlayStation have confirmed that upgraded PSSR enhancements will arrive alongside the F1 25 2026 Season Pack on June 3. F1 25 already launched with PS5 Pro Enhanced support, following similar support in F1 24 and the upcoming update brings Sony’s latest version of PSSR to the game. According to Codemasters, integrating the updated technology was a straightforward process, allowing the team to improve image quality without major development hurdles.
Players on PS5 Pro can expect a noticeably sharper presentation when the 2026 Season Pack launches, particularly in the game’s ray tracing-enhanced Quality mode, which continues to target a locked 60 frames per second. Performance mode remains available at 120Hz for supported displays, while the 8K mode returns for players with compatible televisions. The update also includes ray-traced reflections, dynamic diffuse global illumination and ray-traced global illumination. Codemasters says the new Madring circuit was built with these visual features in mind, making it one of the best places in the game to see the improvements from enhanced PSSR and ray tracing in action.
EA also revealed the latest driver ratings ahead of the launch of the EA Sports F1 25: 2026 Season Pack. The updated rankings offer a snapshot of how the grid stacks up heading into the new season with each score based on a mix of pace, racecraft, awareness, experience and overall performance.
Among the biggest changes, Lando Norris received a +2 boost to reach a 94 overall rating, while George Russell climbed to 93 with a +1 increase and Fernando Alonso also moved up one point to a 90 overall. The largest gains went to Oliver Bearman and Kimi Antonelli, who each jumped three points to earn 83 overall ratings. Check out the full ratings at the official website.
