FM 26 Adds International Management in FIFA World Cup 2026 Update

As we discussed last week, International Management has arrived in Football Manager 26 as part of a free update available now for FM26, FM26 Console, FM26 Touch and FM26 Mobile. The update puts a much bigger focus on the international side of the game, giving players new tools, squad management upgrades and more ways to take control of their country ahead of the FIFA World Cup 2026. One of the bigger additions is a new quick start option that drops players right into the FIFA World Cup 2026, which takes place this summer across the United States, Canada and Mexico. Sports Interactive also partnered with FIFA for the first time, bringing official tournament branding, broadcast graphics and select kits into the game. The update also adds Match Preparation training and improved squad-building features, giving international saves a little more depth than they had before. Women’s national team management has also been added for the first time and players can now continue careers from FM23 and FM24 with save compatibility support. Sports Interactive noted that 47 of the 48 qualified World Cup nations are currently playable at launch. The studio also mentioned that some official kits may not be available yet while licensing approvals are still being finalized, though more could be added in future updates.
