Electronic Arts shared a deeper look at what’s coming in the F1 25 2026 Season Pack with a new 5 minute deep dive video. Between the new rules, redesigned cars, energy systems and the arrival of the Madring circuit, the game is leaning hard into Formula 1’s next era when the DLC launches on June 3.
The 2026 Formula 1 season already feels different in real life and Codemasters is trying to carry that same shift into the game. Cadillac joins the grid as the sport expands to 11 teams for the first time in a decade, while Audi officially steps in after taking over Sauber. Those changes carry across Career Mode, My Team, Grand Prix, Time Trial, Split Screen and Unranked Multiplayer with the full 11-team, 22-driver lineup in place.
One of the bigger additions is Madring, the new circuit set through the streets of Madrid. The track mixes long straights with fast corners and heavy braking zones that should create plenty of passing chances. Codemasters said the circuit was built using early CAD data and then refined corner by corner to get the flow, elevation and racing lines feeling right before the real-world track even officially debuts.
The driving side of things also gets a pretty major overhaul. The new Overtake Mode lets drivers unleash a concentrated burst of electric power when they’re within a second of the car ahead, while Boost Mode gives players manual control over battery deployment anywhere on track. Recharge systems now work through lift and partial throttle too, meaning energy management becomes part of every lap instead of something happening mostly under braking.
Active Aerodynamics replaces the old DRS-style approach with a system that constantly adjusts the front and rear wings depending on what the car is doing. Players can manage those systems manually for more control or turn on assists if they’d rather focus strictly on racing. Codemasters wants races to feel less scripted and more dependent on how players attack, defend and manage energy throughout a run.
Players who already own F1 25 will need to purchase the 2026 Season Pack separately to access the new content for $29.99 on consoles and $24.99 on PC. New players can grab the 2026 Season Edition Bundle, which includes the base game, Braking Point 3, the full 2025 season content and the new expansion for $49.99 on both console and PC.
