The latest update for Session: Skate Sim is available today, bringing one of the community’s most requested features into the game. Players who enjoy spending hours perfecting tricks and putting together clips can now experience a smoother transition between being off the board and jumping back into a line thanks to the addition of new throwdown animations. A pickup animation has also been added, helping everything flow together more naturally during gameplay.

The new Throwdowns update gives skaters the ability to drop the board to the ground, pick it back up, and move into tricks in a way that feels much more authentic. It may seem like a small detail on paper, but it adds another layer of immersion that longtime players will likely appreciate while filming lines and exploring spots.

The update also includes several quality-of-life improvements and bug fixes aimed at making gameplay feel smoother overall. The team has improved responsiveness, cleaned up landings, adjusted pedestrian behavior and improved grind tracking on kinked rails, along with a variety of other tweaks designed to keep sessions flowing smoothly. Check out the full patch notes below.
