"textContent": "Early access for _MLB The Show 26_ is quickly approaching, and the updates are coming in fast. The Baltimore Orioles veteran Adam Jones confirmed on Twitter/X that he is going be a part of the The Show 26 roster. Jones spent 11 of 14 MLB seasons wth the Orioles, playing his final MLB season with Arizona and retiring after a short stint in Japan’s NPB league.\n\nThis player is considered a modern-day legend in the Orioles’ history. He’s a 5-time All-Star and 4-Time Golden Glove winner. As an active player before retiring, he has appeared in _MLB The Show Games_ before, with his final appearance being in _MLB The Show 19_.\n\n## What To Expect From MLB The Show 26\n\nBeyond the excitement for new Legends, MLB The Show 26 is also introducing the most ambitious version of Road to the Show to date. The revamped mode will feature more narrative depth, rebranded as “The Road to Cooperstown.” There’s also deep focus on the amateur experience, with SDS doubling the college roster to 19 schools. You’ll also be able to play the entire NCAA Men’s College World Series tournament format.\n\nThe game also now lets you chase short-term objectives or long-term milestones like the “Heart attack” perk. This specific perk boosts exit velocity massively in late-game rallies. There are new subtle visual enhancements, such as color-coded ball trails that turn red for fastballs or blue for offspeed pitches.\n\nLike the previous game, MLB The Show 26 also continues its commitment to crossplay and cross-progression support. Whether you want to play a quick match against a friend on a different console or move your entire Road to the Show save to another platform, progress remains seamless. The Digital Deluxe Edition offers four days of early access starting March 13, so the most dedicated fans don’t have to wait much longer now.\n\n_MLB The Show 26_ releases on March 17th for PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, and Nintendo Switch, and you can pre-order it right now. The PC release is still under question, and San Diego Studios has not even mentioned the platform in any of the press releases so far.",
