"textContent": "Straight4 Studios released update 1.6.0.0 for Project Motor Racing today bringing some meaningful changes that setup builders will notice right away. The default brake bias now sits much closer to a true 50/50 split with adjustments to rear brake sizing to better line up with real world data. Because of that shift, older tunes created around the previous balance might feel a little squirmy under braking, especially in heavy zones or when trail braking into a corner.\n\nAnyone running custom setups in LMDh, GT3, GT4 and the 992 Cup cars will want to jump back into the garage and make a few tweaks. The LMDh class also received a big round of physics and drivability work aimed at making the cars feel more predictable and more rewarding to push in a variety of situations.\n\nBeyond the car changes, players should run into a smoother experience online. Career Mode now features active weather and time-of-day support too, so start times and conditions can be different each time you load into a race. Check out the full patch notes below.\n\n**Vehicles**\n\n * Fixed an issue affecting certain cars that would turn driving assists off despite them being on.\n * Improved windscreen reflections and materials, along with cockpit displays and gauges across multiple cars.\n * Additionally, the Porsche 992 GT3R has received improved cockpit vibrations.\n\n\n\n**Handling & Physics**\n\n * Improved collision handling and restitution.\n * Fixed collision cleanup when vehicles are teleported.\n * Improved transmission driveline, gear handling, ignition stability, and brake temperature issues.\n * General physics cleanup and refactoring for stability and performance.\n\n\n\n**LMDh**\n\n * New tyre revisions with improved grip and predictability on cold temperatures.\n * Changes to the engine modelling for more realistic revving and inertia.\n * Upshift/downshift tuning to go along with the previously mentioned change.\n * Tuned brake balance and ABS settings.\n * Updated tyres for improved overall handling.\n\n\n\n**GT3, GT4 & 992 Cup**\n\n * Default Brake Bias changed to be more towards 50% with a change to the rear brake sizes. User created setups should be revised for this change.\n\n\n\n\n**Penalty System**\n\n * Improved track limit detection margins and accuracy.\n * Fixed incorrect penalties on Nurburgring Nordschleife and Lexington.\n * Added safer detection of drivable surfaces outside track limits.\n\n\n\n**Online & Multiplayer**\n\n * Fixed an issue that could cause players to experience a black screen when another player quitted the lobby and fall through the environment.\n * Vehicle damage has been enabled for Ranked Online mode.\n * Further improvements made to the Ranked Online scoring system to prevent exploits.\n * Fixed crashes related to invalid driver profiles and multiplayer menus.\n * Added safeguards to ensure grid positions are correct.\n * Fixed a potential soft-lock issue that could occur when selecting events during leaderboard updates.\n * Improved maintenance mode handling and network stability.\n * Fixed an issue where the racing line could stop updating in online races when a player in the lobby became unready.\n\n\n\n**Career Mode**\n\n * Improved validation for missing DLC, mods, and invalid configurations.\n * Championships now only populate with owned tracks and valid grid sizes.\n * Weather seasons now appear throughout Career Mode events.\n * Weather conditions enabled giving a chance of wet weather conditions.\n * Start times have been reviewed to give more time-of-day variety including night-time.\n\n\n\n**AI Opponents**\n\n * Improved braking logic, throttle response, and understeer/oversteer handling.\n * Enhanced AI predictions using track incline, tilt, and wet-line speeds.\n * Improved pit stop logic, pit exit behaviour.\n * Added slip protection and safer re-joining behaviour after leaving the track.\n * Fixed multiple issues related to AI behaviour causing system crashes.\n * Refined AI performance for closer, more consistent racing.\n * Adjusted AI tyre wear to better match player performance.\n\n\n\n**Tracks & Environment**\n\n * Added and refined ground collision materials to better support the penalty system across multiple circuits.\n * Improved tree LODs, alpha clipping, and billboard optimisation.\n * Fixed texture issues, clipping and LOD (level of detail) distance setting, and colour saturation on walls, kerbs, and terrain across multiple circuits.\n * Fixed “micro gaps” for ground surfaces across multiple circuits.\n\n\n\n**Rendering & Visuals**\n\n * Fixed shadow LOD inconsistencies.\n * Improved exposure handling, including cockpit exposure masking.\n * Fixed rear-view virtual mirror issues on consoles.\n * Improved reflection quality and anti-aliasing in mirrors.\n * Fixed fog fade issues, black sky cases, and near-fade artefacts.\n * Ensured atmosphere quality can no longer be disabled.\n * Fixed intermittent overlay rendering and outline issues.\n\n\n\n**HUD**\n\n * Improved mini-map behaviour and performance.\n * Enabled input display graphic on the bottom left of the HUD when using a controller.\n\n",
