Moomin is a children's animated television series based on the Moomin novels and comic strips by the Finnish illustrator and author Tove Jansson and her brother Lars Jansson.

The English dub was performed at Cardiff's Eco Studios for transmission on CBBC. The episodes appear to have been dubbed in three batches: episodes 1–26 (1990), episodes 27–56 (1995), and episodes 57–78 (1999–).

Although the English dub seems to have occurred in 1990 (as per the copyright date), the series did not make its debut on CBBC on BBC One until 7 September 1993.

Hand-Drawn was used for the series logo, titles and credits for the first 26 episodes.

Dom Casual was then used for the same purposes from episode 27 onwards.
