This research explores the role of graphic design as a mediation tool in collecting children’s voices, particularly during inspections of medical-social care environments.

It questions the ability of design to act as a third-party mediator, by creating visual and sensitive tools that shift the framework of the interview. These tools open up alternative forms of expression beyond verbal language and help facilitate dialogue between adults and children. This work is part of the preliminary research for a partnership with the Direction générale de la cohésion sociale (French Ministry of Solidarity) for the final-year project.
