License: All Rights Reserved. _\n\n\n\n\nMore Water Than the Eye Could See __ is a photographic project that sits between documentary practice and a sensitive exploration of place, developed around Lake Lanier, located in the southern United States (Georgia). By closely observing this artificial lake created in 1957 and walking along its shoreline, French-American photographer Tempé Storm Cole searches for traces of the painful history it submerged. The landscape resists, revealing little.\n\nThe publication by Bluff Books comes with a copy of map of the dam as published by the U.S. Army in 1970. For a closer look at the map, see a 1975 edition using the same design (also using Balloon Extra Bold as the main font).\n\n\n\n\n_Photo:  Gwennina Moigne.
