  "textContent": "While we've got our heads into the idea of sharing the Innate Health understanding with others, I stumbled across this old post of mine, from back when I was running workshops with groups of social care staff.\n\nI had totally forgotten that this had happened!!\n\nšŸ˜‚\n\n* * *\n\n** _May 2022_**\n\nToday I showed up for an online workshop I was running for a group, with quite a busy mind. A bit jangly. Feeling a little insecure about how it would go. Unsure about what I would be sharing with them, and what direction it would go in.\n\nIn short, I didn’t feel great.\n\nSo I did what it often makes sense to do when moving from one activity to another (inviting the group also to do the same): I slowed down, closed my eyes, took a deep breath & grounded myself in the here and now.\n\nToday, however, I heard myself saying the following:\n\n> _ā€œI’m just going to get myself present to what’s about to happen.ā€_ šŸ˜‚šŸ¤£\n\nWTF?!?!\n\nChutney, tumbling from my mouth! A slip of the tongue that revealed my state of mind. It was such a nonsensical thing to have said, that I instantly fell out of my insecurities, and we were off.\n\nI laughed, asked if anyone had noticed the utter ridiculousness of what I’d just said and it led to a beautiful exploration of the nature of the experience that we’re all having, 24/7/365/lifetime.\n\n> _ā€œThanks for a great session!ā€_ someone emailed, straight afterwards.\n\nEven when I was ā€˜making a mess of things’ that’s just a thought-created story I’m believing.\n\nI can’t be separate from that thriving aspect of life. None of us can.\n\nI _am_ it. Same for you.\n\n(I’m going to do it again sometime* and have named the incident, _ā€˜The Incorrect Technique technique’_ šŸ˜‰šŸ˜†)\n\nGiles\n\n*I’m not, but life will offer an infinite number of alternatives and that’s what’s so great about it!\n\n* * *\n\nNigh on four years later, I can report that while I haven't said anything _quite_ this daft again, I have of course been quite up in my head when sat in front of an audience and about to speak.\n\nAnd the advice-to-self remains the same:\n\n> **Slow down, close your eyes, take a deep breath & ground yourself in the here and now.**\n\nWhoever you're talking to, and whatever the context, they'll thank you for taking a moment.\n\nAnd you'll know what to say.\n\nšŸ’Ÿ\n\nGiles\n\nSIGN UP FOR THE DAILY REMINDERS newsletter\n\nWant to start __every__ day with helpful, insightful content like this?
