The distinction between fan, joy, and criticism is important, I think, and there is space to talk about why I love something, but...it isn't necessary. I don't need to unearth the explanation for me and I'm not interested in persuading someone to feel the same way I do about a piece of media. I think there's also something to say for not \"spoiling\" something for yourself; my experience with some things is just for me."
