"html": "<p>It’s fair to say that a band as unique as <strong>The Lovely Eggs</strong> never settle for anything run of the mill or mundane when it comes to picking the support acts for their tours. The Lancaster duo are well known for seeking out challenging and inimitable artists to tour with and their forthcoming run in October, where the band celebrate their 20th anniversary, will be no different.</p><p>Main musical support across the tour comes from Bradford beat masters <strong>Polite Bureaux. </strong>Having recently released their second DIY studio album ‘Except Your Skint’, the project was started by Joseph Smith — a broken beat-maker and sharp-tongued lyricist — joined on stage by his sister Maya Lili and rave enthusiast Viv Maher. Together they deliver an intoxicating mix of spoken word, electronic beats, and punk energy.</p><p>The Lovely Eggs have long been a band favoured by some of the UK’s best music-loving comedians. When they played at the 100 Club at the end of 2024, <strong>Stewart Lee</strong>, <strong>Frank Skinner</strong> and <strong>Phill Jupitus</strong> (‘Porky The Poet’) were all in attendance. So, for the 20th anniversary tour, each night different comedians will warm the crowd up for the band. Phill Jupitus is back again, aka Porky The Poet – who since 1983, has written and performed poetry alongside the likes of Madness, Billy Bragg, Paul Weller and The Pogues. Then there’s ageing millennial <strong>Zara Gladman</strong> who is “one of the most-shared names in Scottish comedy”, her viral creations have been viewed by millions.</p><p>Next up, co-founder of Viz Comic, <strong>Simon Donald</strong>, who started his successful stand-up career some twenty years ago, joins the tour in Newcastle. Elsewhere, long time Eggs fans <strong>Stewart Lee</strong>, <strong>Frank Skinner, Rob Auton</strong> and <strong>Eric Rushton</strong> will all bring their distinctive comedy stylings to audiences throughout the tour. Full details of who appears where below.</p><p>To mark their 20th anniversary, The Lovely Eggs have also announced a very special LTD release entitled ‘Bin Juice’ - a collection of self-recorded outtakes from their last album ‘Eggsistentialism’, alongside rare B sides.</p><p>Released on their own label Egg Records, with eye watering artwork by Casey Raymond and hand packed in a black plastic bin bag on neon toxic slime green vinyl, this is yet another collectible release from a band who care as much about the art and ideas in their records as they do about the sound. There will also be 300 copies exclusive to Rough Trade with alternative coloured sleeve and sticker art, on special edition transparent vinyl with toxic orange and slime green Bin Juice splatters.</p><p>“We had all these spare songs after we released our last album ‘Eggsistentialism’, and we didn’t really know what to do with them,” explained Holly. “They just didn’t seem to fit in with the vibe of ‘Eggsistentialism’, but we’d recorded them and wanted to get them out there.”</p><p>Bin Juice will be released on 12” vinyl and CD on Friday 17th October.</p><p>“The last 20 years have been a lifelong dedication to music and art.
