WASHINGTON (AN) — Three sitting judges of the International Criminal Court filed suit against U.S. President Donald Trump and senior administration officials, arguing that U.S. sanctions imposed over their judicial decisions are unlawful and intended to undermine judicial independence.

The complaint, filed in U.S. District Court for the Southern District of New York on Wednesday, seeks to overturn sanctions imposed under Executive Order 14203 against Judges Kimberly Prost of Canada, Solomy Balungi Bossa of Uganda and Reine Alapini-Gansou of Benin.
