"textContent": "This is my report on activities of the [Mozilla Foundation][Mozilla] for the week ending May 12, 2006. This week I worked on a number of different projects, with no major theme standing out.\n\nProjects for the week\n\nHere’s a partial listing of what I and others at the Foundation did the week ending May 12:\n\n- Accessibility grants. Håkan Waara has been working on the project to create an implementation plan for accessibility on Mac OS X, and has published some work in progress: a [comparison of accessibility architectures][comparison] on our three major platforms.\n\n Next action(s): Still trying to get another accessibility grant under way.\n\n- CA certificates and Mozilla. I tracked down some more background information relevant to the application from [StartCom][] to have CA certificates included in Mozilla-based products ([bug 289077][]).\n\n Next action(s): Complete action on StartCom’s application, start working on other pending CA applications.\n\n- Mozilla history project. I visited the [Center for History and New Media][chnm] at George Mason University to discuss their planned Mozilla history project. I reviewed the current state of their online site (still in development) and did an interview for the oral history portion of the site.\n\n- Administrivia. I set up VOIP phone service for my Mozilla Foundation work and fax numbers, and added the new numbers to my [contact information][info].\n\n Next action(s): None at this time.\n\nUpcoming activities\n\nHere’s what we’ll be doing and where we’ll be in the coming months.\n\n- Gerv Markham will be attending the XTech conference in Amsterdam May 16--19.\n- I’ll be attending the NetSquared conference in San Jose CA on May 30--31, and staying over on June 1 for other Mozilla-related activities.\n- I’ll be in Mountain View CA sometime in July for a Mozilla Foundation board meeting.\n\nThis concludes the report.\n\n[comparison]: http://wiki.mozilla.org/Accessibility/Comparisons\n[StartCom]: http://cert.startcom.org/\n[bug 289077]: https://bugzilla.mozilla.org/show_bug.cgi?id=289077\n[chnm]: http://chnm.gmu.edu/\n[info]: /info/\n[Mozilla]: http://www.mozillafoundation.org/",
