  "textContent": "This is my report on activities of the [Mozilla Foundation][Mozilla] for the week ending October 6, 2006.\n\nProjects for the week\n\nHere’s a partial listing of what I and others at the Foundation did this past week:\n\n- IP-related issues.  I did some trademark-related work for SeaMonkey, plus various other items.\n\n    Next action(s): Look at creating trademark policies for SeaMonkey, Sunbird, and other non-Corporation products.\n\n- Grants and related activities.  I finished up paperwork for funding some more accessibility-related work, and will announce it soon.  There’s also another grant proposal we’ve received for an unrelated area, plus we’ve gotten expressions of interest from a number of other organizations regarding applying for grants.\n\n    Next action(s): Get a decision made on the current grant proposal being considered, and take a look at other grant opportunities to gauge their suitability from a Foundation point of view.\n\n- IDN.  The Foundation will be sponsoring Neil Harris to speak on the Mozilla project’s work on Internationalized Domain Names at the [Internet Governance Forum meeting][igf] in Athens Greece on October 30 through November 2.\n\n    Next action(s): Assist Neil with travel arrangements.\n\nUpcoming activities\n\n- I’ll be in Cambridge MA on Tuesday, October 10, for the first day of the [Mozilla accessibility summit][], and will be taking a vacation day on Friday, October 13.\n- Zak will be stopping by to visit at Mozilla HQ in Mountain View in late October while he’s in town for the [Zend/PHP conference][].\n\nThis concludes the report.\n\n[igf]: http://www.igfgreece2006.gr/\n[Mozilla accessibility summit]: http://wiki.mozilla.org/Accessibility_Hackfest_2006\n[Zend/PHP conference]: http://www.zendcon.com/\n[Mozilla]: http://www.mozillafoundation.org/",
