Evaluate a funding request for sponsorship of a developer workshop (Mozilla-related but not Mozilla-specific). Work with the Foundation board to make a decision on other new proposals.\n\n- IP/legal issues. I’m responding to licensing-related questions to the Foundation while Gerv Markham is on vacation. I contacted a company about putting proper MPL, etc., notifications in the EULA and other material for their Mozilla-based product.\n\n Next action(s): Work with the SeaMonkey Council and others on appropriate policies for the SeaMonkey trademarks. Work more to get the contributors agreement moved forward.\n\n- Web sites. Zak Greant worked on tying up loose ends from the [Internet as a Public Good Symposium][ipg]. Gerv was on vacation.\n\n Next action(s): Do a blog post on the issues discussed at the IPG symposium.\n\nUpcoming activities\n\n- I’ll be in Mountain View on September 12 for a Mozilla Foundation board meeting.\n\nRandom notes\n\n[Last week][] I mentioned the [Thummer][], a new musical\ninstrument. It turns out that there are a number of people out there interested in creating new instruments (including Thummer-like devices) and in the general science of music; if you’re interested in this topic, be sure to check out the [MusicScienceGuy blog][].\n\n[david]: http://davidwboswell.wordpress.com/\n[gerv]: http://weblogs.mozillazine.org/gerv/\n[zak]: http://zak.greant.com/\n[w4a]: http://www.w4a.info\n[conformance checker]: http://about.validator.nu/\n[wmo]: http://www.mozilla.org/foundation\n[ipg]: http://cyber.law.harvard.edu/ipg\n[Last week]: /mozilla/foundation-activities-2007-08-03\n[Thummer]: http://www.thummer.com/\n[MusicScienceGuy blog]: http://musicscienceguy.vox.com/\n[Mozilla]: http://www.mozillafoundation.org/",
