The movie was alright. The visuals were good but the rest was just okay. I also couldn’t switch my space and physics brain off so I kept finding flaws. I’d argue finding major scientific flaws in science fiction is fair game. I’m sure the book will fare better here. I intentionally didn’t read the book before watching the movie because I knew I’d be disappointed with the movie in such a case. Now that I’m disappointed anyway, I think I saved myself extra disappointment.\n * I started reading the third book of the Three Body Problem series: Death’s End. I’m enjoying it so far, like the first and second one. The sheer scale of thought in the series is simply amazing.\n * It was good to catch up with a few friends this week.\n * I left most of the few WhatsApp groups I was on to be more discerning about whom I give my attention to or for what, and to simply reduce my stress levels.\n * I’m giving a lecture on space rockets for Pint of View BLR coming Wednesday. Come nerd your brain out 🤓. Journalistic disclaimer: My honorarium for the talk is the same regardless of the number of tickets sold so there’s no incentive for me to share this and sell more.\n\nThere’s more where that came from. 🌝\n\n * This week’s Moon Monday is about Artemis updates as well as interesting new Japanese lunar missions.\n\n\n\n* * *\n\n_This post was written based on one of the blogging prompts at an in-person_ IndieWeb Club meet_in Bangalore._",
