Russia Strengthens Eastern Energy Strategy Despite US Pressure on China

Russia has responded calmly to the growing energy maneuvering between Beijing and Washington. Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov made Moscow's position clear, stating that any agreements between China and the United States on energy purchases remain a sovereign matter for both countries. While the administration of US President Donald Trump continues pushing American energy exports onto global markets, Moscow appears confident in the durability of its strategic partnership with China. "If agreements between Beijing and Washington have been reached or will be reached, and they serve the interests of our Chinese friends, we will only welcome them,” Lavrov said.
