Microsoft Defender incorrectly flagged legitimate DigiCert root certificates as malware, triggering high-severity Trojan:Win32/Cerdigent.A!dha alerts across Windows environments. The issue came from a Microsoft Defender security intelligence update, not from a compromise of the affected DigiCert root certificates.
