It was so predictable

It's a pattern we've seen so many times before. There is nothing like a war to boost a president's ratings. Trump was sinking fast. He can't escape the Epstein scandal. His immigration crackdown was hugely unpopular. Pretty much everything he has done since returning to power has been unpopular. Democrats have been winning big at special elections and it was looking very likely that they would take back the house this November. Trump weighed his options and knew just what to do.
But the really sad part is to see the press being mostly positive about his invasion of Iran, especially after they killed the supreme leader. Okay I get it, he was an evil dude and everyone is happy he is gone. But if anyone is think the world will be better off now they are surely fooling themselves. People cheered when they got Bin Laden, but then ISSIS rose up out of the ashes of Al Qaeda. People cheered when they got Saddam Hussein, but more people died in the chaos that followed than in his reign of terror. (yes, I fact checked that.) With the killing if Iran's supreme leader either Iran will sink into chaos, or they'll just appoint another supreme leader. Khamenei wasn't the first Ayatollah and he likely won't be the last.
So this is no time for the press to start going soft on Trump. It was predictable that he would start a war to try and salvage his image. He still breaks the law and lies to us all daily. He still is the subject of a huge coverup to protect him from the Epstien scandal. He is still a convicted felon that should be in jail, not the White House. Right now Trump is banking on either getting enough good coverage from his invasion to float the republicans sinking ship, or for it all to go so badly they he can just claim wartime powers, call off the election, and get to be the supreme leader he thinks he is. Let's not let this happen.
