Before his big break he starred in several musicals including _Hairspray_ and _Jersey Boys_. On television he had some of the funniest scenes in HBO's _Girls_.  These days you can catch him starring alongside Allison Janney in a new movie _Miss You, Love You._ Rannell's plays Jamie in the film. Jamie is the assistant to a world renowned journalist whose step-father just died. Rannells is great in it, like you'd expect – charming, handsome and unfailingly midwestern friendliness.  Rannells talks about his journey to the Broadway stage and some memorable scenes from his roles on television including HBO's _Girls_. He also did voice acting for anime shows like _Pokemon_ and _Yu-Gi-Oh_ – and we made sure to get into that.  _A version of this interview originally aired in February of 2013._",
