Kneecap
[caption id="attachment_160872" align="alignnone" width="419"] (Photo: Tom Beard)[/caption] Kneecap is an Irish hip-hop group comprised of three members: Mo Chara, Móglaí Bap, and DJ Próvaí. Mo and Móglaí handle the mic, and Próvaí is behind the decks and acts as hype man during the shows. The band’s beats are pretty intense: Heavy boom bap drums with fat synths. And their lyrics are direct and in-your-face. They’re about as political as they come, and rarely delivered in English. Their newest album, Fenian , was released just last month. Like all of Kneecaps music, it's fun, fierce, and aggressively revolutionary. Kneecap joins us to talk about the new record and how both hip-hop and Irish rebel music have influenced their sound. They also chat with us about their acting career and how they went about making a biographical film about themselves. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=l20iTGJ8pK0&t=18s
