Chuck Klosterman
Do you like football? Chuck Klosterman is a writer who really, really likes football. He doesn’t just watch football, he thinks about it as an embodiment of American identity. He thinks about it as the inspiration for popular videogames, and then he thinks about how those videogames affect the real-life sport. He sees parallels between the economy of the NFL and the greater American economy. But Chuck Klosterman isn't a sports writer. Not really. He writes about everything: The Eagles, time travel, the 1990s (as a decade) and more. His new book is called Football. In it, he examines the cultural impact of the sport, as it relates to American life. He joins Bullseye to talk about the ups and downs of being a life-long football fan, and why the sport can matter to everyone, regardless of fan status.
